Vintage West German Porcelain Vase Red Black Folk Cross Stitch Decor

Vintage West German-style porcelain vase featuring a striking red and black folk cross stitch / needlepoint pattern on glossy white porcelain. This beautiful mid-century decorative vase has an elegant urn-shaped body, scalloped flared rim, pedestal base, and especially unusual sculptural double handles.  The geometric red and black decoration is designed to resemble traditional Eastern European embroidery or needlework, giving the vase a wonderful Ukrainian folk art / vyshyvanka-inspired appearance. Similar vintage Edelstein Bavaria porcelain pieces were produced with this distinctive red and black embroidery-style transferware pattern.
