Banana Republic Black Cowl-Neck Satin Midi Slip Dress with Sequin Straps

There are a lot of slip dresses out there with a midi shape and which can be dressed up or down. This brand new dress with tags is on absolutely on trend but is unique in that it adds sequin straps to dress it up. Depending on the shoes and bag, this could be an office party outfit, a dress to wear when the dress code is ambiguous, a cocktail party piece, or what you might wear on an important date. I love the simplicity of it, and the drape of the cowl neck includes just enough fabric to curve gracefully.  In person the satin has a heft and benefits from being lined; though it is still a body con dress that recalls a negligee, it is not as clingy as those without a lining.
