US Military Mess Kit Pan, Vintage 1944

〇Product Description

This appears to be a surplus item from the U.S. military that was sold to the civilian market in Japan. When I acquired it, it had a Japanese name written on it, but I have removed it for privacy reasons and because it looked unappealing.
The engraving reads US M.A.Co 1944, indicating it was manufactured in Massachusetts, USA, during World War II. This type of mess kit was reportedly used by the U.S. military until around the Vietnam War.

The item includes only what is shown in the images.

While there are minor scratches from use, there is no damage. There is some rust and dirt, but it has been polished and cleaned and is in usable condition.
If you intend to use it for meals, a new item might be preferable, but this one has a more authentic feel from actual use, making it ideal for cosplay, etc.

I have not used it for eating; I have primarily used it for photography and cosplay.

As items are inspected by human eyes, there may be oversights. Therefore, those who are sensitive, expect new or perfect condition, or lack knowledge about this product should refrain from purchasing.
Also, please understand that due to its age, scratches and dents are unavoidable.
This item has been disinfected.
