This is a replacement handle grip for 210mm deba knives. Made from domestic white 朴木 (honoki). This is a universal handle.
Knife handles are consumables. We recommend replacing them when they become old or cracked.
Although it is a universal handle, we believe it is easy to grip and use. This is for deba knives. It can be used without problems even with deba knives around 8mm thick.
Personally, I often use this size.

To use, thoroughly heat the insertion opening with a burner (not a furnace! Use a gas burner until the tip is scorched).
Then, insert it and tap it with a wooden mallet. A metal hammer will likely cause it to crack. As a rough method (some call it lazy),
after inserting, you can also place a thick piece of scrap wood on a hard surface like concrete and strike the handle against that board.
Generally, tap the back with a wooden mallet.
